Country Decor Wall Art
Maybe you’re not really into the more modern interior design styles…sharp and edgy might look nice, but it just might not suit your tastes. Are you looking for more of a warm, hospitable, and comfortable interior theme for your home? An environment where you and loved ones can just feel totally at home and at ease? Country décor might be your cup of tea if this sounds like something you’d be interested in.
It is rare to see country decorations mentioned in any sort of interior design resource because a lot of people consider it to look too old-fashioned, and outdated. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with country decorating. There are plenty of do-it-yourself crafts and bits of home décor that are made to suit more rustic tastes, some of which even include beautiful sideboard furntiure. In fact, it’s probably easier to find country home décor than anything other kind of home furnishings.
You don’t necessarily have to have a cabin with no electricity or plumbing out in the middle of nowhere in order to create a rustic look. If that’s what you want, then by all means go for it. 
But if you prefer your home to have running water and heat, you can decorate a typical house in such a way as to mimic or be inspired by the styles of country homes. The point of rustic interior design isn’t necessarily to have a run-down sugar shack out in the forest, but to give your home an earthy, natural, or warm feeling. You can easily have a log cabin home that looks just as sharp and beautiful as one of its more contemporary counterparts.
A great way of achieving an immediately noticeable country look for your home is to employ the use of a cabin design. This doesn’t mean needing to lay tree trunks one by one on top of each other. Simply having a planked wall and floor can give an instant rural appearance to your house. The natural brown tones of whatever wood is chosen will give a feeling of warmth and welcome to whoever is in the house. Adding wooden paneling is a great way to dress up any room, even using it as baby nursery decor. High ceilings also seem to be popular as far as cabin themes. If you do decide to go with a cabin design, do a little research as far as cabin décor in order to find decorations that will be a good fit for your home. You don’t necessarily need a deer head over your fireplace to make your humble country abode look authentic; remember, it’s not exactly realism you’re going for. 
A stone fireplace is a nice auxiliary to wooden walls and floors, and a decorative musket to put on the wall, if this is something you’d like, is also a nice touch and also may complement the wall colors.
Another nice addition to a country-themed interior design could be a plaque with wall quotes since they are often associated with rustic homes. A wall plaque can be just about anything, ranging from a cast of a giant deer hoof print to a frame that shows a chicken in a dress planting a garden. Cabin-style walls rarely look barren due to the pattern the planks create, so while you may not need much as far as wall hangings, a plaque can add a little more style to that wall without going overboard.
